The 2018 aM Author Festival is a collaboration between the Albuquerque Museum Foundation and the Albuquerque Museum to benefit participating authors and the educational programs at Albuquerque Museum.

Third annual book event showcases local writing talent. The finest of the New Mexico writers' scene will gather at Albuquerque Museum to share their experiences, sell merchandise, and sign books for their fans. Whether you are a mystery addict, a hard-core sci-fi fan, or a history buff you’ll be amazed at the diversity of writers working across a range of genres, who call New Mexico home. Panel discussions and author presentations throughout the day.
3 p.m. Writing Contest Award Ceremony
for best unpublished works of Fiction and Non-Fiction featuring the David Morrell Prize for Fiction and Lesley Poling-Kempes Prize for Non-Fiction. Ceremony will include a reading of winning submissions by David Morrell and Lesley Poling-Kempes.
The 2018 Albuquerque Museum Author Festival Writing Contest is open to all New Mexico residents. Fiction and Narrative Non-Fiction works must be unpublished and must not have been submitted to an earlier Albuquerque Museum Author Festival contest. Submit a piece you are currently working on or polish a finished piece. Submission Deadline – June 30, 2018.
