The Albuquerque Museum is looking for a Special Events Volunteer.

Events volunteers will provide customer service and general support for Member Opening Preview Events and Fundraising Events. Most events take place on evenings and some weekends.

Duties could include any of the following: Greet members and welcome them during special events, check membership cards, take tickets, hand out nametags, hand out programs, and answer general questions. Volunteers may be required to dress in appropriate attire depending on the type of event.

Specific responsibilities will vary with each event, but typical tasks and projects could include:

Pre-event: Assembling collateral materials, nametags, preparing centerpieces, decorations and event supplies.

Day of event: Set-up and decorations, placing signage and banners, greeting and directing guests, event registration, guest assistance, assist with tear down and clean up.

Post-event: Enter guest attendance data into donor database, ensure all items and supplies are properly stored or returned.

Qualifications:
Strong communication and customer service skills
Able to maintain a calm, pleasant and cheerful demeanor in a variety of atmospheres
Dependable and punctual
Available to work evenings and weekends
Enthusiastic and willing to help with some mundane tasks
Ability to learn quickly and pay attention to detail
